ReplyDeleteSo disappointed in the season finale and Brian Bird! If they had good writers, Elizabeth picking Nathan could have been unique from Jack! Lucas influence on Elizabeth this season has been quite unlikeable. I am really not looking forward to next season. I may not even watch! Brian Bird knows they have it good because there are no other family friendly series shows out there. His arrogance is such a turn off and the finale was as well! I hope it ok to air my feelings here. It was time wasted on Mother’s Day that I can’t get back! Nathan finding love with someone else will solve nothing because we will still have to endure Lucas, who is in my opinion too smooth and can not be trusted!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!!! I too was so disappointed in the finale. The show has turned a new direction that stirs away from its roots. I have seen where Brian Bird is trying to defend their decision for Elizabeth and he is quite defensive. Back in those days a school teacher would NOT be courting the saloon owner, but the show is not accurate anymore. Lucas is too perfect and can not be trusted. I am NOT looking forward to next season as well. I believe many feel the same. If the writers knew they couldn't write another story with Elizabeth and a Mountie, then why did they suggest it the first place... ratings! So sad to see another family friendly show cave!
