Happy New Year, everyone! As we look to a new year and season full of so many opportunities, I think of my hopes and dreams, especially my prayers for 2024. I pray for God's peace, hope, and joy for you all in this new year HE has blessed us with! And for each of us to see the life-changing message of God's love. Christmas may be over and tucked away until next winter, but we can open our hearts to celebrate Jesus all year long!
Our family always likes to take DaySpring's Word of the Year Quiz to find our 2023 Word of the Year - just one word to help us focus on what God calls us to accomplish in the year ahead. My word for the year was Trust, which reminds me of an old hymn dear to my heart...

With Scripture, God gives us the answers we crave as we cling to HIS hope. So, let's turn to HIS Word as we focus on a direction for the next twelve months rather than resolutions that only last a few days. Let's look to the Lord for help to live our faith in 2024.

I heard this new song yesterday on KLOVE from Katy Nichole, "My God Can." This song reminds us even though we might not be able to conquer all, there is still hope in Jesus! So, when we feel weak, God is strong! God never fails! With God, all is possible; when we can't, God can! The song is based on Phillipian 4:13. Happy New Year, Everyone. I pray you all had a wonderful Christmas. It was such a blessing to be together and celebrate His Birth. Of course, it went by way too fast, as always!
I love this time of newness and stillness after a busy holiday season. It is also a great time to refresh and renew! With a couple weeks off, I am back at my daily workouts. It feels good to get back in the groove. I have also had some time to browse one of my favorite stores, Loft, which I knew would have new arrivals at the first of the year! I really love their Lou & Grey line for lounge and activewear. They are comfortable, affordable, and cute! I still can't believe Christmas is over and that the first week of the new year is already in the books, as I write this sitting by our Christmas tree. We don't take down our decorations until the end of January. I feel now with the busyness over, I am finally taking in all its beauty. Plus my DVR is full of Christmas movies we haven't watched yet, so we are set to keep the spirit alive for a while at our house. It is now feeling like Christmas here with the weather and just today we had some snow showers. I always love a White Christmas and we just might get it this week. So the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful and so while relaxing and soaking up the last few weeks with all this decor, I thought I would share with you all my favorite things(items) and most popular items because of you all of 2021.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. At our house it is always a sweet time with family and sharing memories. We read Luke 2, sang carols, opened gifts, drove around town and looked at lights, tooks pictures to capture the precious moments, ate way too much, and watched It's A Wonderful Life and other Christmas movies as well. One of my favorite Hallmark movies is "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" and what Morgan says in the movie is so true... December 26th is one of the saddest days of the year. I would have to agree in some ways but the hope of Jesus is in every day, so I hold on to that and it gives me joy. I will be enjoying my Christmas tree and movies well into the new year.
